Indicator Store

The basic premise of the Indicator Store is to create a community where Indicator Vendors and Strategy Developers can create an publish indicators or systems for ProEdgeTrader users to use.  The functionality of the release as it exists currently is described below.

• To add an indicator to the Custom Indicator Store: Open the Custom Indicators Library by clicking on View > Custom Indicators > Custom Indicators Library

• Select the indicator to deploy, Right click > Deploy

The above dialog box will be displayed.

• Package Name = Indicator Package name (used to name indicator on client PC once installed)
• Developer = UserID of the developer uploading the indicator
• URL = Developer’s URL
• Contact Email = Developer’s email
• Trial Period = Number of days this indicator can be used “for free”
• Subscription Fee = Not currently in use
• $ per = Not currently in use
• Free = If this Indicator will be allowed to be used Indefinitely
• Description = Package description to be displayed in the Store
• Once the fields are filled in, click the deploy button.  This will add the compiled indicator to the Store.  Once a user deploys an indicator to the store, only they (and Admins) will have the ability to delete that Indicator from the Store.
• Once the indicator has been deployed, it will be available in the Store for other users to download

The Store toolbar will allow users to (left to right):

• Install the highlighted package
• Open the developer URL
• Email the Developer
• Refresh the Store with the latest uploads
• Delete the selected indicator (user controlled)
• Select Columns to be displayed in the Store
• Change the Store font
• Download Store text to a File
• To install the indicator, clients should highlight the indicator and select the “Install” icon from the Toolbar or Right Click menu.  The indicator will be added to the client’s Indicator Store

And the Store will display a “check mark” next to the installed indicator

By default, the user will automatically be setup with a 2 week trial in the entitlements section of the user admin.  Any extension of the trial will be a manual process at this point.  Currently, you can submit a ticket requesting the extension and it will be taken care of in ~4 hours.  Alternately, some developers have included a DLL in their package which checks the subscription on their side.  The Indicator will not work in the ProEdgeTrader software if that check fails.
